Materials used:
  • Rico design Creative Cotton Aran color yellow (25 g), red (20 g) and a little bit of white.
  • One pair of 9 mm safety eye
  • 4 mm crochet hook
  • Tapestry needle
  • Polyester fiberfill 25 g
  • Plastic poly granules 80 g 

Size: The cat is 9 inches long. (23 cm)

Body
Rnd 1: With yellow, ch 2, 6 sc in second chain from hook. (6 sc made)
* Or you can do 6 sc in magic ring. *
Rnd 2: 2 sc in each st around. (12)
Rnd 3: (Sc in next st, 2 sc in next st) around. (18)
Rnd 4: (2 sc in next st, sc in next 2 sts) around. (24)
Rnd 5: (Sc in next 3 sts, 2 sc in next st) around. (30)
Rnd 6: Sc in next 2 sts, 2 sc in next st, (sc in next 4 sts, 2 sc in next st) 5 times, sc in next 2 sts. (36)
Rnd 7-8: Sc in each st around.
Rnd 9: Sc in each st around, changing to red in last 2 loops of last st.
Rnd 10-11: Sc in each st around.
Rnd 12: Sc in next 5 sts, sc next 2 sts tog, (sc in next 10 sts, sc next 2 sts tog) 2 times, sc in next 5 sts. (33)
Rnd 13-14: Sc in each st around.
Rnd 15: (Sc in next 9 sts, sc next 2 sts tog) around. (30)
Rnd 16-17: Sc in each st around.
Rnd 18: Sc in next 4 sts, sc next 2 sts tog, (sc in next 8 sts, sc next 2 sts tog) 2 times, sc in next 4 sts. (27)
Rnd 19-20: Sc in each st around.
Rnd 21: (Sc in next 7 sts, sc next 2 sts tog) around. (24)
Rnd 22-24: Sc in each st around.
Rnd 25: Sc in next 3 sts, sc next 2 sts tog, (sc in next 6 sts, sc next 2 sts tog) 2 times, sc in next 3 sts. (21)
Rnd 26-28: Sc in each st around.
Rnd 29: (Sc in next 5 sts, sc next 2 sts tog) around. (18)
Rnd 30-32: Sc in each st around. Stuff with Plastic poly granules 80 g.
Rnd 33: (Sc in next 4 sts, sc next 2 sts tog) around. (15)

Row 34: Working in rows, flatten last rnd, matching sts and working through both thicknesses, sc in next 6 sts, changing to yellow in last 2 loops of last st, turn. (6)


Row 35-39: Ch 1, sc in next 6 sts, turn. (6)
Row 40: Ch 1, sc in next 6 sts, leave long end for sewing, fasten off.

Head
Rnd 1: With yellow, ch 2, 6 sc in second chain from hook. (6 sc made)

*Insert safety eyes 6 sts apart, between rnds 10-11 of head.* Stuff with Polyester fiberfill.


Rnd 17: (Sc in next 2 sts, sc next 2 sts tog) around. (18)
Rnd 18: (Sc in next st, sc next 2 sts tog) around. Stuff with Polyester fiberfill. (12)
Rnd 19: Sc next 2 sts tog around, fasten off. (6)

Mouth
Rnd 1: With white, ch 2, 7 sc in second chain from hook, leave long end for sewing, fasten off. (7 sc made) * Or you can do 7 sc in magic ring. *
With black, embroider nose and mouth.

Ear
Rnd 1: With yellow, ch 2, 5 sc in second chain from hook. (5 sc made)
* Or you can do 5 sc in magic ring. *
Rnd 2: Sc in each st around. (5)
Rnd 3: 2 sc in each st around. (10)
Rnd 4: Sc in each st around, leave long end for sewing, fasten off. (10)



Tail
With yellow, ch 25, dc in 4th chain from hook, dc in next 21 chs, leave long end for sewing, fasten off. Sew the top part and bottom part together.



Finishing
Sew ears on rnds 5-9 of head. Sew mouth on rnds 11-13.



Sew tail on rnd 1 of body.



Sew head on rnds 32-40 of body.
