When I started designing dolls in 2009, I only sold patterns on Etsy. Now I sell on many websites, but not exactly the same pattern. You can buy the pattern as a PDF, Kindle pattern or ePub. I will explain below the differences.
PDF
PDF patterns can be read with Adobe Acrobat Reader. Which is available for all computers, smartphones and tablets. For PDF patterns visit:
Ravelry: www.ravelry.com
Craftsy: www.craftsy.com
Etsy: www.etsy.com
Dawanda: de.dawanda.com (for German patterns)
e-Book
PDF's are nicely formatted but do not always read very well on small devices like iPhones and iPads. For those you can download an e-Book. For e-Books visit:
Amazon
(Kindle): www.amazon.com
Barnes and Noble
(ePub): www.barnesandnoble.com
iTunes
(ePub): itunes.apple.com
ePub
ePub’s can be read on many e-Readers:
iPad, iPhone, Nook, Sony e-Reader, Android Smartphone and your computer. ePub
patterns can be printed out.
If you buy your e-book on
Barnes and Noble you can use their Nook eReader
App which is available for many tablets and smartphones like the iPad.
On Barnes and Noble and iTunes are now two of my free patterns: Pink Little Lady and Pink Rabbit Monster Witch. I will publish more free ePub patterns in the coming months.
Kindle
Kindle patterns can be
read on Amazon
Kindle e-readers. You can
download an App to read your Kindle pattern on any device, for example an
iPad or a PC. Kindle patterns cannot be printed out.
Unfortunately I cannot upload free patterns on Amazon. For my free Kindle patterns you have to visit my blog pages. I will publish more free patterns in the Kindle format in the next few months here.
